Last Thursday (16th July) I was let go from my position at Stuff. My colleague Jim Hubbard was also let go. Sadly the newspaper world is a dying medium and we are just the latest casualties in its demise.

Since being told and then letting the rest of the community know i’ve been absolutely blown away by the support and championing of that said community.

I had no idea anyone was really paying attention to the work I was producing. But now I do i’ve got a new direction that I cannot and will not waste.

This is my final cartoon for Stuff, but not for the community. I will need to reassess what I can do and where it’ll go.

What I do know is that I cannot continue on this website. No shade or judgement of others continuing this is my wish. Patreon is a good fit for me. And the owner is hellbent on keeping Ai away from scrapping its content!

Anyhoo, keep safe and look after each other. We’re less without those voices!
