It’s been a year. I dedicate today’s cartoon to my dearest friend Peta Kennedy. She was a staunch supporter of me & my work and know she would have approved this message.

A group of little people stand celebrating on the top of a huge cliff. They’ve thrown the year 2025 off of it into the ether. It’s gone. And they’re better for it.

It’s been one of those years.

As we gear up for the New Year make sure to keep resting, keep safe and to speak up to someone you trust if you’re hurting.

Self medicating is our species nature sadly and it doesn’t need to be that way.

Try and find that small window of opportunity to tell someone you’re not feeling ok. Our brains tell us all sorts of shame and oppressive ways to keep us ‘safe’.

It perceives danger when we want to tell friends, families, partners that things are not ok for us.

Try and reassure your inside voice that you need to tell someone.

Maybe try writing it down - “we need to tell someone” and “they won’t abandon us or hurt us if we do” - “I can’t do this alone anymore, I need someone to know”.

Anyway, thank you for reading, supporting and seeing me. It’s meant a shit ton.
